I am delighted to have been invited to join the Irish and International Songwriters Guild as a writer. A little bit about the guild in their own words:
‘…The Irish (and International) Songwriters Guild (also nicknamed The Songbank) believes that these writers deserve higher profile on the international stage and we hope to achieve this by showcasing the very best of Irish and international songwriting talent…’

Colin will be performing songs from his critically acclaimed albums Doricana & The Never Ending Pageant at an intimate homecoming gig in Stonehaven on the 29th April at Zee’s nightclub. The last solo show he played there was when he opened for The Red Hot Chilli Pipers at the open air at the square in 2012.
Tickets are going fast for this special show and are available at Ma Simpson’s music shop or online here.
Local up and coming singer songwriter Alannah Moar will open the show.

Unfortunately, the Big Country gigs in Dublin & Belfast (I was due to open) have been pulled due to ill health with the promoter (and friend Charlie Campbell).
My Irish tour will remain and we’ll be working very hard towards finding replacement shows in both Cities.
Sorry for the last minute issues but I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Charlie the best in his recovery.
Thanks
Colin

Legendary radio presenter Bob Harris (BBC Radio 2) played Doin’ Fine on his Sunday show.
The playback is available here (song is approx. 40 minutes in):

Bob also spoke about Colin’s time on the West Coast of the US and his music after the song played directly after Colin’s. He mentioned that ‘The Never Ending pageant’ was ‘…really very good…’!
High praise indeed.
This comes off the back of some recent BBC 6 Music radio play from Chris Hawkins!!
Thanks from all at CC HQ
