SAN DIEGO, CA. – Hot on the heels of Colin Clyne’s second win in a row as “Best Acoustic Performer” at the San Diego Music Awards, he will release a new, live EP, Doon Tae the Wid on November 30, 2012. Recorded in 2011 at the Sacramento and Woodland Highland Games by Ryan Poole and once again mixed and mastered by Grammy winning producer / engineer Alan Sanderson, the disc includes four tracks as well as a preview of the upcoming documentary DVD on Clyne’s “Doricana” tour, from film maker Craig Rian.
A taster for a new full length album due next year from Clyne, if you’re a fan in the slightest of Clyne’s wonderful mix of Celtic influences, folk music and rock ‘n’ roll attitude, this EP delivers.
The release will be celebrated with a special show at the Tin Can Alehouse, 1863 5th ave. San Diego, CA 92103 (21 and up. $5 cover) on November 30, with Clyne accompanied by guest musicians as well as special opening acts, Carl Durant and Pat Hull
